Our History
Ahmed Trading Corporation was founded by Sabbir Ahmed, who assumed responsibility for the family business at the young age of 20 when his father fell ill. At that time, the business consisted of a single 20,000 sqft warehouse rented to one client. Recognizing a growing need for flexible warehousing solutions in Bangladesh, Sabbir transformed that modest beginning into what is now one of the country’s leading logistics and supply chain enterprises.
The company’s breakthrough came when it secured a contract with Abul Khair Group, a well-known commodities trader in Bangladesh. In those early years, Sabbir managed every aspect of operations on his own — supervising warehouses, contracting labor, preparing stock reports and bills, delivering goods, and even personally ensuring collections. His work often meant leaving home at 7 a.m. and returning after 3 a.m., with many sleepless nights spent at the warehouse. At times, exhaustion would force him to rest on stacks of cargo bags — a testament to his relentless dedication and perseverance.
As operations expanded, Sabbir’s younger brother Jamir Ahmed joined him, and together they steadily grew the business — one warehouse at a time, one employee at a time, and one client at a time.
Today, Ahmed Trading Corporation manages over 1 million square feet of warehousing space, employs more than 100 full-time staff and 1,000 contract workers, and proudly serves a portfolio of 300+ national and international clients. The journey from a single warehouse to an integrated logistics powerhouse reflects the company’s founding principles of hard work, trust, and resilience.
